This Saturday, December 12th, St. Johnians will dust off their best threads and dress-up to celebrate the season. Residents clean-up well, some not even recognizable without their trademark scruff and duct taped flops. All are welcome to what locals affectionately call “the prom”, where hundreds descend on Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay to drink, laugh, and be merry. Live reggae music by Inner Visions, food, and of course, drinks, keep the party popping. The event this year starts at 7pm at Mongoose Junction and continues with an after party at Extra Virgin, the new restaurant where Fatty Crab used to be. Happy partygoers keep the prom fun from flailing by dancing the night away to live music by Butter (featuring a super-secret special guest, shhhhhh!), and enjoying late-night drinks and snacks. It’s a night (and maybe even a day) to remember, a great way to gear up for a fantastic new year. See you in heels!
